Nesting 04:05
I put myself on a limb all the time. I navigate winds and branches and manage just fine. I had an idea we could build us a skyward home. I had an idea we could make this branch our own. If you come out here with me, the weight might bring us to the ground. But I'd rather fall for you than stay out here wafting around. I put myself on a limb all the time. I watch the wind blow away all the things that I think are mine. I had an idea we could tie each other down. I had an idea that for once we could feel so safe and sound. If you come out here with me, the weight might bring us to the ground. But I'd rather fall for you than stay out here wafting around. Well, it's a long way down but a short way up from here. And you can't see the view, but to me it's crystal clear You build the nest and I promise to provide the sights. We can navigate winds and branches-- we can be alright. I put myself on a limb all the time. I was hoping a bird like you might just stop by. I had an idea you might like what I'd done with the place. I had an idea you might have an idea to stay. If you come out here with me, the weight might bring us to the ground. But I'd rather fall for you than stay out here wafting around.

Here I go around again diving into the deepest end. I hear you wince just beyond the surface. Deeper down I sink or swim-- you just can't tell and wince again, but I won't drown. I'll simply drink it down. You say, "No, just don't-- just don't ah, ah, ah!" You say, "No just don't--" I say, "Oh, my god!" But it's no occasion. I try my luck while you try my patience. Here I go around again, another problem's reared its head. I'll make my own philosopher's stone. But you don't trust my alchemy-- a toxic lead can never be turned into gold, and I should drop the load. You say, "No, just don't-- Just don't, ah, ah, ah!" You say, "No, just don't--" I say, "Oh, my God!" But it's no occasion. I try my luck while you try my patience. Alright, I'm scared--you're scaring me! You dim the daylights out of me... Till I can't see... I can't see... I can't see... Once more unto the breach, dear friends! I know the means, I know the ends. This ain't my first rodeo. Just imagine my surprise-- you plead your case with eyes so wide they can't perceive that I just took my leave. You say-- Stop right there, I know what you'll say. But you keep talking anyway. It's no, occasion. I try my luck while you try my patience.

Well, I don't know why I lie, saying that I want to die-- What I mean is, "I want so much to live." Thought I could do it by now, thought I'd figure out how, but it's hard when you confuse life with death. I can't catch my breath, that ain't living, baby, and I want so much. The thing I said I want is what I fear already is--what I mean is, I want so much to live. All the time I spend adrift waiting for the tide to shift-- what I need is a foot on solid ground. Thought I could wait out the storm until my boat drifts ashore but I'm feeling like I've already drowned. I can't hold my breath, that ain't living, baby, and I want so much The thing I said I want is what I fear already is, what I mean is, I want so much to live. I won't hold my breath But I'll tell you what I'll do: gonna have a drink or two, hope it get's better-- I want so much to live. I'm dying to live, yes I'm dying to live. But I won't hold my breath.
